I love chocolate. Like, really, REALLY love it. It’s extremely hard to find delicious snack food that encompasses healthy ingredients and chocolate. Trust me, I’ve looked everywhere.
It wasn’t until our gym trainer at my work brought these delicious fig bites that I became obsessed with them. I mean, you know they are healthy if a personal trainer is insisting you eat them!
The combination of fibre in the figs and the protein powder keeps you full. The sweetness of the figs also makes them sinfully delicious. The almond butter gives it a nice amount of texture to bind everything together with the coconut oil. These are the real deal when it comes to a healthy snack!
Place figs into a food processor.
Add almond butter and water.
Add your protein powder.
Begin pulsing the food processor while streaming in your coconut oil.
Add oil until the mixture begins to come together.
I used about 1 tablespoon.
Blend until smooth.
Scoop fig mixture and press into a ball with your hands.
Coat fig bite with shredded coconut.
Place on a lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
I can’t believe deliciousness can taste this good.
These are packed with such flavour.
The texture is soft and chewy.
These bites should be stored in the refrigerator in an air tight container.
Like they’ll last that long anyway.
Enjoy!
