Finally, if you are going to write to tell me that I am spelling the names of my recipes wrong, or calling them Ukrainian when they are Polish, French, Russian or Extra Terrestrial…thanks but no thanks. This blog is about sharing food and cultural experiences of my childhood and family. Not a history, language or cultural lesson.

March 9, 2022 at 10:11 AM (3 years ago)Love this cookbook, pictures and clear directions. I can see how much love and effort it was to produce it. It is a beautiful way to celebrate your mother. Given what is happening in Europe right now I am going to support Ukraine including in a small way, cooking some of the simpler recipes and ordering foods from local Ukrainian church for next big family and friends dinner. I have Polish ancestors and these are conform food that are similar and familiar. What is happening to Ukrainian people is close to my hart. Events in Ukraine effect all of us and made the globe less devised.
I have been collecting recipes from my family and hope one day also to create small cookbook just for my family and friends and your blog inspired me to put in on line. Maybe it will be easier for me to make it “crowd” sourced by contributions of other family members.
I am putting link on my Facebook page to in a small way get more traffic to the site.
